Actor R Madhavan recently shared an incident in which he was duped by an AI-generated video featuring footballer Cristiano Ronaldo and cricketer Virat Kohli. In one of his recent interviews, the actor revealed that he realised his mistake when Virat's wife Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma personally messaged him about it.

Recently, R Madhavan was asked if he had ever been duped in real life. He recalled an incident related to a deepfake video. He said that in the reel I saw, someone was praising Virat Kohli a lot. Actually I think he was Ronaldo. How much he enjoyed watching Virat Kohli bat and how great he thought he was.

Virat Kohli admitted that he thought the video was real and even shared it on Instagram. However, soon after, Anushka told him that the video was fake and it was created using AI. R Madhavan admitted that he felt embarrassed after falling for the fake video.

AI being misused

He further talked about the videos and pictures being created by AI and how even an aware person like him can be misled. He said, 'It's really embarrassing, so even a person like me, who is quite aware, was completely misled and then when they pointed out the flaws to me I realised that oh yes, this is very messed up, so you have to be very careful that whatever you are forwarding is very reliable.

On the other hand, talking about the actor's work front, R Madhavan was last seen in Shaitan alongside Ajay Devgan and Jyothika. He will next be seen in the Tamil sports drama 'Test', which he has also directed. The film is based on the themes of cricket and personal struggles. For this film, he has reunited with his Rang De Basanti co-star Siddharth and actress Nayanthara.
