Rava Dhokla: If you feel hungry again soon after eating, then you can prepare this tasty dish..

Gujarat's famous food Dhokla is prepared with gram flour as well as rava. It is not only tasty but also easily digestible. Not only this, it is prepared in a short time. In such a situation, if you want, you can enjoy it as a snack with evening tea. Many times, after some time of eating food, one starts feeling hungry again, in such a situation also this dish can be prepared and eaten. If you also like to eat this and want to try it at home, then today we are going to tell you an easy method to prepare it. You will not face any difficulty with this recipe.

Ingredients

Rava – 1 cup

Thick curd – 1 cup

Sugar – 1/2 tsp

Green chilli paste – 1 tsp

Ginger grated – 1 tsp.

Baking soda – 3/4 tsp

Mustard seeds – 1 tsp

Sesame seeds – 1/2 tsp

Cumin seeds – 1/2 tsp

Curry leaves – 7-8

Asafoetida – 1 pinch

Green chilli – 2

Coriander leaves – 2 tbsp.

Oil – 1 tbsp

Salt – as per taste

Method – First of all put rava in a vessel. Add curd to it and mix both well. After this, add green chili paste, grated ginger, and salt to this mixture and mix.

- Keep in mind that a thick solution of this mixture has to be made. Now keep this solution aside for 30 minutes.

- After the stipulated time, take out the batter and if needed, add some water and whisk. Now add a pinch of baking soda to the batter and mix the batter slowly until the batter becomes frothy.

- After this, bubbles will appear on the batter. Tap it 1-2 times to remove these bubbles. Now put the dhokla batter in a vessel and steam it for 11 minutes.

- After this, leave the dhokla vessel to cool down. When the dhokla cools down, take them out in a bowl.

- Now to add tempering to the dhokla, heat oil in a small vessel. When the oil is hot, add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, asafoetida, and sesame seeds to it.

- When the masala starts crackling, add curry leaves and green chilies cut from the middle. When all the spices start crackling well, pour the tempering on the dhokla and spread it.

- Finally garnish the dhokla with green coriander leaves. Your hot Rava Dhokla is ready to eat with tea. Serve it with green chutney.
