The report said that due to the cheap internet, people have used phones a lot. People in the country have used phones for an average of 5 hours daily. In that too, 70 percent of the people have used phones while using social media platforms, video platforms, and gaming.

The report states that due to people using phones, the media and entertainment industry in the country became Rs 2.5 lakh crore in the year 2024, which has surpassed television for the first time. In the year 2024, the entertainment industry benefited more from people using phones than television.
