Ingredients
Rice flour – 1 cup
Hot water – as needed
Salt – to taste
Oil – 1 teaspoon (for kneading)
Oil for frying – sufficient
1 pinch of carom seeds or cumin seeds for flavor (optional)
Method for Making Rice Flour Puris
Making rice flour puris is not difficult; you just need the right technique. When the dough is kneaded correctly, the puris are rolled properly, and the oil is at the right temperature, the puris will turn out crispy and fluffy every time.
Step 1: The Right Way to Knead the Dough
In a bowl, add rice flour and salt.
Now, gradually add boiling water little by little.
Mix with a spoon, then when it cools slightly, knead a soft but firm dough with your hands.
Apply 1 teaspoon of oil on top, cover, and let it rest for 5 minutes.
Remember, rice flour should not be kneaded with cold water; otherwise, the puris will crack.
