Worship is considered to be of great importance in Hinduism. Worshipping brings blessings of God, and devotion to him purifies the mind and body. The holy month of Shravan is currently going on. According to the scriptures, this month, Bholenath comes to roam the earth with his family. This is why many religious pilgrimages related to Lord Shiva take place throughout this month. People offer water to the Shivling in temples and remember the name of Mahadev throughout the month. In the month of Shravan, devotees in Shiva temples take many measures to please Bholenath. But while returning from the temple, they make such mistakes that all the benefits of going to the temple are wasted. These mistakes bring many troubles in life. Neither do we get the fruits of worship, nor do we get the blessings of God. According to Acharya Anand Bhardwaj of Ujjain, texts like Garuda Purana, Manusmriti, and Vishnu Dharmasutra tell what things should be kept in mind while returning home from the temple.

Don't make this mistake, even by mistake.
Empty Lota - To please Lord Shiva, many devotees offer water to the Lord every day in Shravan. For this, people also take a lot of things, etc., along with puja material, prasad from home. While returning from the temple, one should never bring an empty lota. Rather, bring a little water in it or bring flowers, Akshat grains in the lota. This increases positivity and prosperity in the house. Otherwise, an empty lot brings poverty and negativity.
Prasad and flowers - Prasad or flowers brought from the temple should be kept respectfully at a holy place as soon as you arrive. Distribute the prasad among all the people and eat it yourself. At the same time, flow the flowers in water or keep them at the root of the plant. Do not make the mistake of throwing flowers or keeping the prasad at an impure place.
Washing feet - One should not wash feet immediately after coming from the temple. When you go to the temple barefoot, then wash your feet after coming home, so that the mud on your feet gets washed off. Most people make this mistake. This should not be done. When you come home from the temple, wipe your feet with a cloth so that the soil of the temple remains on your feet for an hour or half an hour. That positive energy of the temple should remain in your body for some time. This will be very good for you.

Bell - Whenever you return home after finishing worship from the temple, do not ring the temple bell. Many people have been seen that they ring the bell while entering the temple and while returning from there. This is a big mistake, which should be avoided. If you also do this, then next time when you go to the temple, do not make this mistake while returning home.
