Sawan Shivratri 2025 Bhog List: The month of Sawan is considered to be the most special for Shiva devotion, and Shivratri of this month has special significance. This time Sawan Shivratri is on 23 July 2025 i.e., today. On this day, Shiva devotees keep fast, offer water and milk on Shivling, perform Rudrabhishek, and please Bholenath by immersing themselves in devotion. It is believed that by worshiping with a true heart on this day, all wishes are fulfilled and problems start going away from life. According to Astrologer Anshul Tripathi, if Mahadev is worshiped by offering his favorite things on the day of Sawan Shivratri, then the person gets special virtue and blessings of God.

Importance of Sawan Shivratri
Shivratri comes every month, but Shivratri of Sawan month is considered especially auspicious because this month is dedicated to Lord Shiva. It is believed that by worshiping on the day of Sawan Shivratri, all the defects of life are pacified and problems related to marriage, children, health, and money are removed.
What to offer to Bholenath
Lord Shiva is a very simple-natured deity. He does not like much pomp and show. But there are some special things which he considers very dear. Let us know which offerings should be offered to Mahadev on Sawan Shivratri.
1. Bhang and Dhatura- Bhang and Dhatura are very dear to Lord Shiva. Offering them on Shivling is considered auspicious.
2. Milk and water- Offering raw milk and Ganga water on Shivling is very auspicious. This purifies both the body and the mind.
3. Honey- Lord Shiva does not like sweets, but using honey in Rudrabhishek brings sweetness in speech and relationships.
4. Rice (akshat)- Unbroken white rice has special significance in Shiva worship.
5. Bilva Patra- Bilva Patra is very dear to Lord Shiva. Do offer Bilva Patra with three leaves.
6. White flowers- Lord Shiva is especially fond of white flowers, such as oleander or aak flower.
7. Ghee and curd- These are used in Panchamrit. It is considered very sacred for Rudrabhishek on Shivling.
8. Fruits and dry fruits- Especially coconut, raisins, and dates can be offered to the Lord.
9. Jaggery- Jaggery or dishes made from jaggery can also be offered to Lord Shiva.
10. Panchamrit- Panchamrit prepared by mixing milk, curd, ghee, honey, and sugar holds a special place in Shiva worship.

How to offer bhog
At the time of worship, first offer water on Shivling. Then perform Rudrabhishek with milk, curd, ghee, honey, and sugar. After this, bathe with Gangajal. Then offer Belpatra, flowers, bhang-dhatura, fruits, and panchamrit. Also, keep chanting Om Namah Shivaya mantra.
What not to do on Shivratri
Never offer broken Bilva leaves. Do not offer Tulsi leaves to Lord Shiva. Do not quarrel or fight at home. Do not eat tamasic food like meat, garlic, onion, etc. Do not lie after worship and do not insult anyone.

The day of Sawan Shivratri is the most auspicious time to please Lord Shiva. If worship is done on this day by offering his favorite things, then one gets relief from all the troubles of life. True worship done by immersing in Shiva devotion gives a person mental peace, family happiness and spiritual strength.
