Make Bread Pua for Raksha Bandhan: On the special occasion of Raksha Bandhan, sisters often want to prepare something unique and delicious for their brothers. If your budget is a bit tight this time, there is no need to worry; you can quickly prepare 'Bread Pua' at a very low cost. All you need to make it is bread, sugar, and a little cardamom powder. This sweet treat is not only budget-friendly but also tastes absolutely delicious.

Usha, a homemaker from Ranchi, explains that making Bread Pua is very easy. It takes barely 10 to 15 minutes to prepare. Once you taste it, you might even forget the flavor of traditional *pua*.
Prepare a thin syrup: Next, prepare the sugar syrup in a vessel. Ensure the syrup is thin—like water—and not thick at all. To do this, add about four spoonfuls of sugar to water and bring it to a good boil.
Add spices: Once the syrup starts boiling, add a little cinnamon and cardamom powder. If you have whole cardamom pods, you can crush them and add those instead. After that, turn off the heat and set the syrup aside.
Dip in the syrup: Now, place the fried bread into the prepared syrup. Remove the bread immediately after dipping it; do not leave it in the syrup for too long, or the bread might break.

Garnish: Your delicious Bread Pua is ready. To make it look appealing and taste even better, garnish it with finely chopped cashews, almonds, and pistachios. It looks just like traditional *pua* made from wheat flour. Prepared in just two or three steps, this sweet is the perfect choice to sweeten the occasion for your brother this Raksha Bandhan.
