Varada Chaturthi is considered a very auspicious and sacred date dedicated to Lord Ganesha, because it falls on Shukla Chaturthi of Adhik month. It is also known as Varad Chaturthi or Varad Vinayak Chaturthi, which is falling this time on Wednesday, 20th May.

This day is considered to be 'Varda,' i.e. the day of giving blessings. On this day, if you worship Lord Ganesha by chanting these mantras, you can get his special blessings.
Religious significance of Varada Chaturthi
Chaturthi of Shukla Paksha of Adhik month (Malmas) is worshiped as 'Varda Chaturthi'. The importance of this day has been described as very special in Mudgalpuran, Bhavishyapuran, and Ganeshpuran. According to the scriptures, just as Lord Ganesha, the destroyer of obstacles, is worshiped on the Chaturthi of Shukla Paksha of normal months, in the same way, there is a tradition of worshiping Ganesha on the Chaturthi of Adhik month also. However, the puja performed in this holy month yields many times more results than on normal days.
It is said in the Ganesh Purana that any fast, donation, or mantra chanting done during Malmas never goes to waste. Even a small sadhana done at this time can please Bappa and give you the desired boon. In such a situation, this occasion of Varada Chaturthi is the best time to remove all the obstacles from your life and get happiness and prosperity by the combined blessings of Lord Purushottam (Lord Vishnu) and Lord Ganesha.
