This Sawan brings both a lunar and a solar eclipse; performing these specific actions will transform your fortune..

Shravan, the month considered most sacred for the worship of Lord Shiva, begins on July 30 this year. This year, the month of Sawan holds special significance from both religious and astrological perspectives, as a rare alignment—occurring after several decades—will see both a solar eclipse and a lunar eclipse taking place during the month. According to Pandit Kalki Ram, an astrologer from Ayodhya, the first solar eclipse will occur on August 12 (Amavasya/New Moon day), and the second, a lunar eclipse, will take place on August 28 (Purnima/Full Moon day). Although neither eclipse will be visible in India, astrological beliefs suggest that their influence could affect all zodiac signs.

**Chanting the Panchakshari Mantra**
Pandit Kalki Ram explains that the month of Shravan is considered the best time for worshipping Lord Shiva. Throughout this month, devotees perform *Jalabhishek* (ritual bathing with water) and *Rudrabhishek* on the *Shivling*, and chant the *Mahamrityunjaya Mantra* as well as the *Panchakshari Mantra*—"Om Namah Shivaya." It is believed that worshipping Lord Shiva with devotion and discipline during Sawan fulfills one's wishes and brings happiness and prosperity to life.

**Positive Energy and Mental Peace**
Pandit Kalki Ram notes that, according to astrological beliefs, rituals, mantra chanting, and acts of charity hold special importance during the eclipse period. Spiritual practices undertaken at this time foster positive energy and mental peace. On the *Amavasya* of August 12, it is considered auspicious to offer *Arghya* (ritual water offering) to the Sun God after a morning bath and recite the *Aditya Hridaya Stotra*. There is also a religious tradition of lighting a lamp at the main entrance of the house in the evening and reciting the *Shri Sukta* while sitting near a *Tulsi* (holy basil) plant.

**Om Hraum Jum Sah**
According to Pandit Kalki Ram, chanting the mantra "Om Hraum Jum Sah" while worshipping Lord Shiva is described in many religious texts as yielding particularly fruitful results. During this period, devotees strive to attain the grace of Lord Shiva by observing fasts, performing acts of charity, and adopting a *Sattvic* (pure and wholesome) lifestyle.
