According to Vastu Shastra, every corner of the home has a profound impact on our energy, mental state, and relationships. Particularly for the bedroom, which is considered the most private and relaxing space, certain rules are prescribed. People often place pictures or idols of God in every room to enhance their home's beauty, but according to Vastu, this is not always auspicious. Vastu consultant Divya Chhabra explains that one should be very careful before placing a picture of God in the bedroom, as this space is associated with relaxation, love, and personal relationships.

In Vastu Shastra, the bedroom is considered a calm and comfortable space, where the flow of positive and balanced energy is essential. Therefore, placing pictures of God here can disrupt the energy. Sometimes, this can even lead to disagreements, discord, or tension between husband and wife. Therefore, according to Vastu, pictures of all deities should not be placed in the bedroom.
However, if you still wish to place a picture of God to maintain religious positivity, only certain images are considered appropriate.
According to Divya Chhabra, placing a picture of Radha-Krishna or Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati in the bedroom is considered auspicious.
The Radha-Krishna couple symbolizes love, understanding, and harmony. Placing such a picture maintains harmony in married life and brings sweetness to relationships. A picture of Lord Shiva and Parvati creates an atmosphere of peace, stability, and mutual support in the home. However, be careful not to place a picture of Radha or Krishna alone; always place them as a pair, as this could lead to distance or instability in relationships.
On the other hand, Vaastu also specifies which deities' pictures should not be placed in the bedroom. For example, one should avoid placing pictures of Lord Hanuman, Goddess Durga, or any deity in a meditative posture. Such pictures overly activate energy, disrupting the tranquil nature of the bedroom. This can inadvertently lead to tension, disagreements, and sometimes even financial problems.

Also, if there is a temple in the house, do not place it in the bedroom. It's always considered auspicious to place a temple in the east or north-east direction of the home. If you must keep a religious symbol in your bedroom, place it on the north wall and keep your head facing south while sleeping.
