Anant Chaturdashi holds special significance in Hinduism. This day is dedicated to Lord Ganesha (Ganpati Bappa). Currently, the fervor of the Ganesh Utsav (festival) is sweeping across the country. The immersion (Visarjan) of Lord Ganesha will take place on Anant Chaturdashi.

According to religious beliefs, worshipping Bappa before the immersion removes all obstacles and hurdles in one's endeavors. If you have installed Lord Ganesha in your home, ensure you perform a special puja before the immersion on Anant Chaturdashi.

**Puja Rituals Before Immersion**
On Anant Chaturdashi, wear clean clothes before performing the immersion. Purify the place of worship by sprinkling *Gangajal* (holy water from the Ganges).
Light a *ghee* (clarified butter) lamp before worshipping Lord Ganesha.
Apply a *tilak* of *kumkum* (vermilion), *akshat* (unbroken rice grains), turmeric, and sandalwood paste to Bappa.
Offer 21 bundles of *Durva* grass.

For the immersion, tie a coconut, jaggery, rice, *modaks*, and some coins in a red or yellow cloth and place it near the idol.
After this, perform the *Aarti* according to the prescribed rituals.
Recite the Ganesh Chalisa and chant mantras.
Pray to the Lord for happiness and peace in life, and seek forgiveness for any errors made during the worship.

Start of *Chaturdashi Tithi* (14th day) of the *Shukla Paksha* (waxing phase of the moon) in the month of Bhadrapada: September 24 at 11:18 PM.
End of *Chaturdashi Tithi* of the *Shukla Paksha* in the month of Bhadrapada: September 25 at 11:08 PM.
According to the Vedic *Panchang* (almanac), Anant Chaturdashi falls on September 25. Ganesh Visarjan will take place on this day.
