Year Ender 2025: The year 2025 was extremely significant from a religious and spiritual perspective. Several major religious events took place in the country this year, generating considerable discussion not only in India but also abroad. The year began with the grand organization of the Mahakumbh Mela, in which millions of devotees participated and shared a wonderful experience of religious energy. Along with the Mahakumbh, the Jagannath Rath Yatra also attracted people's attention, and its magnificent spectacle and festivities became a topic of discussion throughout the country.

In addition, the flag-hoisting ceremony at the Ram Temple was also among the major religious events of the year. These events not only awakened religious sentiments but also served to unite people socially and culturally. 2025 was filled with such events, which became memorable as symbols of faith, devotion, and cultural richness.
The Mahakumbh Mela: A Confluence of Faith and Tradition
In 2025, the Mahakumbh Mela was organized in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, which is considered one of the world's largest religious festivals. This fair ran from January 13th to February 26th, a total of 45 days. During this time, millions of devotees from India and abroad arrived in Prayagraj. The main attraction of the Mahakumbh is bathing in the Triveni Sangam (confluence of three rivers), which is believed to wash away all sins. Besides this, the ancient Hanuman Temple, the dates of the royal baths, and the Ganga Aarti are also very popular among devotees. According to media reports, approximately 660 million people participated in this year's Mahakumbh. This number makes it extremely important not only from a religious point of view but also from a social and cultural perspective.
Odisha's Jagannath Rath Yatra
Every year, a grand Rath Yatra (chariot procession) is organized at the Shri Jagannath Temple in Puri, Odisha. In 2025, this yatra took place from June 27th to July 5th. During this time, Lord Jagannath, along with his brother Balabhadra and sister Subhadra, is seated on a chariot, and devotees collectively pull the chariots. According to religious beliefs, participating in this Rath Yatra leads to salvation for the devotees. This year's pilgrimage saw the participation of approximately 1.5 million devotees, making both its grandeur and the fervor of devotion truly remarkable.

Ram Temple Flag Hoisting Ceremony
On November 25, 2025, a flag hoisting ceremony was held at the pinnacle of the Ram Temple. This ceremony was historically significant because the hoisting of the religious flag atop the temple's spire marked the culmination of years of waiting at Lord Rama's birthplace. Prime Minister Narendra Modi hoisted this religious flag. The flag is saffron in color, 20 feet long and 11 feet high, and bears the symbols of Om, the sun, and the peepal tree. This religious symbol not only represents devotion but also reflects the greatness of Indian culture and tradition.
