According to Drik Panchang, the auspicious time for Lakshmi Pujan will begin at 5:54 PM on November 8th and continue until 7:50 PM. During this period, the 'Vrishabha Lagna' (Taurus ascendant)—a 'sthir' or fixed ascendant—will also be active, making it an exceptionally auspicious and rewarding time to worship Goddess Lakshmi.

Lakshmi Pujan Muhurat: 5:54 PM to 7:50 PM
Pradosh Kaal: 5:31 PM to 8:09 PM
Vrishabha Kaal: 5:54 PM to 7:50 PM
Nishita Kaal: 11:39 PM to 12:31 AM
Simha Lagna: 12:25 AM to 2:42 AM
For householders, performing the worship of Goddess Lakshmi during the Pradosh Kaal and the 'sthir lagna' (fixed ascendant) on the night of Diwali is considered the most ideal. Meanwhile, the Nishita Kaal is considered the best time for Tantric rituals and the worship of Goddess Kali.

According to religious beliefs, worshipping deities during the designated auspicious times on Diwali brings happiness, peace, and prosperity to the home. It is believed that the light from the *diyas* (lamps) and worship performed according to prescribed rituals help dispel negativity and foster the flow of positive energy. Since Diwali falls on the *Amavasya* (new moon) tithi, it is also considered auspicious to light lamps in memory of one's ancestors (*pitris*). It is believed that doing so invokes the blessings of one's ancestors.
