Rajkummar Rao is currently busy shooting for the biopic of former Indian cricket team captain Sourav Ganguly. Following the Mumbai leg, filming for the movie has now commenced in Kolkata. During this period, several photographs of Rajkummar Rao from Kolkata's Eden Gardens have surfaced, in which he is seen actively shooting. Throughout the process, Rajkummar Rao appeared deeply focused and immersed in his work.

**A Glimpse into Ganguly's Childhood and Cricket Journey**

The Kolkata schedule involves filming at various locations closely associated with Sourav Ganguly's life and cricketing journey. The first phase of the Kolkata schedule centers on Ganguly's childhood, chronicling his journey from the lanes of Behala to becoming a professional cricketer. Filming initially began at Sourav Ganguly's residence in Behala.

On Wednesday, the grounds of Kolkata's historic East Bengal Club buzzed with activity as the production team recreated the era when Sourav played cricket for the Aryan Club.

Elaborate sets were constructed amidst tight security, where Rajkummar Rao was spotted filming in the avatar of 'Dada,' sporting a red tracksuit. Filming also took place at Eden Gardens. Sourav Ganguly's home in Behala constitutes another significant part of the shooting schedule. The former cricketer himself was present at both his residence and Eden Gardens during certain segments of the filming process.

Directed by Vikramaditya Motwane, the film—titled *Dada: The Sourav Ganguly Story*—features Rajkummar Rao in the role of Sourav Ganguly. Tanya Maniktala has been cast to portray the character of Sourav's wife, Dona Ganguly. The film will also depict the love story between Sourav and Dona.

To ensure an authentic Bengali atmosphere, several Bengali actors have been cast in pivotal roles. Aparajita Auddy plays the character of Sourav's mother, Nirupa Ganguly, while Saswata Chatterjee portrays his father, Chandi Ganguly.
