Do you wish to spend a few days in peace and tranquility, away from the hustle and bustle of daily life? If so, the land of Madhya Pradesh awaits you. Indeed, MP—often called the 'Heart of India'—is renowned worldwide not only for its forests and wildlife but also for its magnificent temples, culture, and history.

To make this journey smooth and comfortable for you, IRCTC has introduced an excellent air tour package named 'Jyotirlinga Heritage Ex-Chandigarh'. During this 5-day trip, you will have the privilege of witnessing the world-famous 'Bhasma Aarti' in Ujjain—the city of Mahakal—and visiting the Omkareshwar Jyotirlinga and the ancient ghats of Maheshwar. This trip is scheduled from November 16 to November 20, 2026. Let us take a detailed look at the itinerary for these five days.

Your Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1
The journey begins in Chandigarh. An IndiGo flight will depart at 11:00 AM and arrive in Indore at 12:50 PM. From the airport, you will be taken directly to Ujjain. After checking into your hotel there, you will visit the Lord Mahakaleshwar Temple in the evening. Dinner and an overnight stay will be arranged in Ujjain.

Day 2
The day will begin on a special note, as you will have the opportunity to attend the early morning 'Bhasma Aarti' of Mahakal. After the darshan (worship), you will return to the hotel for breakfast. The rest of the day will be dedicated to visiting sacred sites such as the Baglamukhi Temple, Kaal Bhairav, and Ram Ghat. You will spend the night at the same hotel in Ujjain.

Day 3
After breakfast, you will depart for Omkareshwar. Upon arrival, accommodation will be provided at the Madhya Pradesh Tourism-run 'Hotel Omkareshwar'. After spending the day there, dinner and the overnight stay will be at the same hotel. 

Day 4
Early in the morning, you will visit the Jyotirlinga at the Omkareshwar Temple. Afterward, following breakfast at the hotel, you will depart for Maheshwar. Here, you will admire the intricate carvings of the magnificent temples situated along the riverbank. If time permits, you will also have the opportunity to visit the 'Reva Society' to witness the weaving of the famous Maheshwari sarees. On the return journey to Indore, you may choose to visit Rajwada Palace and Sarafa Bazaar. Overnight stay and dinner will be at a hotel in Indore.

Day 5
On the final day of the tour, you will check out of the hotel after an early breakfast. You will be dropped off at Indore Airport for the 08:55 AM flight back to Chandigarh.
