When is Shri Krishna's Chhathi?

Shri Krishna was born on the Ashtami date of the Krishna Paksha of the Bhadrapada month. His Chhathi is celebrated on the sixth day of birth, i.e., Chaturdashi of Bhadrapada. This year, this festival will be celebrated on 21 August 2025.

Offerings to be offered on Chhathi

Method of worship

Get up before sunrise, take a bath, and wear clean clothes.

Spread a red or yellow cloth on a stool and place the idol of Bal Gopal on it.

After bathing with Panchamrit, dress him in new clothes and decorate him with sandalwood tilak and a flower garland.

Light a ghee lamp, perform aarti, and offer bhog.
