Neeraj Chopra, a resident of Khandara village in Panipat, has surprised everyone by getting married secretly. However, the family was preparing for the wedding for the last several days. Neeraj Chopra shared the wedding photo on his social media account on Sunday evening. His uncle Bhim Singh told that Neeraj Chopra has married Himani.

Who is Himani

Chopra's uncle Bhim told 'PTI' that the marriage took place in the country and the couple has left for honeymoon. Himani is currently studying in America. She is studying 'Sports Management' at Franklin Pierce University in New Hampshire. She is an alumnus of Miranda House in Delhi where she completed her bachelor's degree in political science and physical education. Bhim said, 'Yes, the marriage took place in India two days ago. I cannot tell where it happened.' He said, 'The girl is from Sonipat and she is studying in America. They have gone out of the country for honeymoon and I don't know where they are going. We wanted to keep it like this.' According to the All India Tennis Association (AITA) website, Himani's best national ranking in 2018 was 42 in singles and 27 in doubles. She started playing in AITA events in 2018 itself.

Neeraj won silver in Paris Olympics

Neeraj Chopra won the silver medal in the Paris Olympics by throwing the javelin 89.45 meters away. Neeraj finished second. At the same time, Arshad Nadeem of Pakistan won the gold medal by throwing the javelin 92.97 meters. Neeraj Chopra won the gold medal in Tokyo Olympics 2020.
