The Akshardham Temple, located in the national capital, Delhi, is also known as the Swaminarayan Temple. Ever since the recent unveiling of the *Tapomurti* (penance idol) of Shri Neelkanth Maharaj here, the temple has been witnessing massive crowds of devotees coming for *darshan* (worship). It is worth noting that this statue stands an impressive 108 feet tall. The situation has reached a point where the lanes leading to Akshardham are becoming completely choked with traffic. Moreover, devotees are now flocking here not only from across India but also from abroad.

One of the most significant aspects of this temple is that many visitors arriving for *darshan* are unaware of the local regulations; consequently, many end up returning without having had the opportunity to offer their prayers. Therefore, if you are planning a visit to the Akshardham Temple, it is essential to familiarize yourself with the rules beforehand. Otherwise, your arduous journey to reach this destination will be in vain, and you and your family may have to return without having performed *darshan*.
**Know About Entry and Restrictions at the Temple**
The Akshardham Temple opens its doors at 10:00 AM. Spread across 100 acres, the Swaminarayan Temple begins admitting its first visitors at 10:00 AM. Although the temple generally remains open until 8:00 PM or 8:30 PM, the final entry for visitors wishing to go inside is strictly limited to 6:30 PM. You cannot enter the Akshardham Temple premises after 6:30 PM; you must gain entry to the temple complex before this cutoff time.
Only after entering the premises can you proceed to offer your prayers to Lord Swaminarayan. Food and beverage stalls are also available on the premises. Before entering the Akshardham Temple, you are required to deposit all personal belongings—including mobile phones, ladies' handbags, toys, umbrellas, food items, Bluetooth devices, and smartwatches—at the cloakroom. However, depositing your belongings in the cloakroom is a complimentary service. Entry into the Akshardham Temple complex itself is also completely free of charge. Inside the temple, you are permitted to carry only a water bottle. Additionally, you may carry cash and baby food. **Find Out the Timings for the Laser Show and Exhibition Here**
Most visitors come here specifically for the laser show; however, many leave disappointed because they are unaware of the correct schedule. To ensure you don't face this issue, please note that a laser show is indeed held here. To watch this show, you will need to wait until 7:15 PM, as the laser show begins at that time and runs for approximately 24 minutes. Ticket prices for the show start at around ₹110, while tickets for children are priced at approximately ₹80.

Please be aware that you will only be able to watch the laser show if you enter the premises before 6:30 PM. Additionally, an exhibition is also hosted here. The timings for this exhibition are from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM. If you wish to witness the *Aarti* (evening prayer ritual), it takes place at 6:30 PM. You can also participate in the *Abhishek Pujan Darshan* here, which is available from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM. A fee of ₹50 is applicable for this service.
