Sawan is also the favorite month of Lord Shiva, so the full moon date of this month is also considered very special for Shiva devotees. The moon is in its full phase on Purnima. Take a bath in the Ganges on the day of Sawan Purnima. If this is not possible, then you should take a bath with water containing Gangajal.
