Semolina - 1 cup
Flour - ¼ cup
Curd - ½ cup
Baking powder - ½ teaspoon
Orange food color - ½ pinch
Sugar - 1.5 cups (400 grams)

Recipe

- First of all, make the syrup. For this, add one and a quarter cups of sugar in one and a half cups of water and put it on the gas to heat.

- Keep stirring it gently. Keep in mind that this syrup should be of one string. If some dirt is visible in the syrup, then add one spoon of milk to it.

- Whatever dirt will be there will come up in the form of foam and you can remove it. You can also add a few drops of lemon to it so that there will be no lumps in the syrup.

- If you want, you can also add cardamom powder to it. This will further enhance the taste of the syrup.

- Now to make the batter for Jalebi, add flour, food color, and half a cup curd to semolina and mix. Mix it well and then add 3/4 cup water to it.

- After this, keep it aside for half an hour. This will give time to the semolina to swell. Now add baking powder to it and mix it.

- Heat ghee in a pan. Keep in mind that the jalebi mixture should not be too thin, if it is thin then the jalebi will not be made properly.

- Try to make it thick, so that the jalebi will be made well. To make jalebi, first heat the ghee well. After this, lighten it when you add the jalebi.
