Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) has received a massive boost ahead of IPL 2025 as their star all-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy has recovered from a side strain injury and is set to rejoin the squad.

Nitish’s Heroics & Injury Setback

The 21-year-old cricketer made headlines with a stunning 114-run knock against Australia in the Melbourne Test earlier this year, helping India avoid a follow-on. His heroics earned him a spot in the T20 squad against England, but unfortunately, he had to pull out after the first match due to injury.

Cleared for IPL 2025

According to PTI reports, Nitish has passed all fitness tests at the BCCI’s Center of Excellence, including the Yo-Yo test. The medical team has now cleared him to play, and he will soon join SRH’s camp.

SRH’s Confidence in Nitish

SRH had retained Nitish for ₹6 crore ahead of the IPL 2025 auction, reflecting their faith in his abilities. In IPL 2024, he impressed with 303 runs at a strike rate of 143 in 13 matches, while also taking 3 wickets.

With Nitish back in the squad, SRH will look to start their campaign on a strong note. Their first match is scheduled for March 23 against Rajasthan Royals in Hyderabad.
