Trains become extremely crowded during Diwali and Chhath Puja. Securing a confirmed ticket on trains heading towards Uttar Pradesh and Bihar becomes particularly difficult. In light of this, the Railways has been consistently announcing 'festive special' trains. The West Central Railway has now announced the operation of 7 pairs of special trains. This initiative will benefit passengers traveling to and from Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, and Bihar. The Railways has introduced special trains covering routes to Danapur, Hazrat Nizamuddin, Haridwar, Rani Kamalapati, and Dr. Ambedkar Nagar.

Train number 01667/01668 has been introduced between Rani Kamalapati station (Bhopal) and Danapur (Bihar). Train number 01667, the Rani Kamalapati–Danapur Express, will depart every Monday and Friday from October 12 to November 16, 2026, at 14:25, arriving in Danapur at 09:15 the following day. In the return direction, train number 01668, the Danapur–Rani Kamalapati Express, will depart every Tuesday and Saturday from October 13 to November 17, 2026, at 11:20, reaching Rani Kamalapati at 10:50 the next day. This train will halt at Narmadapuram, Itarsi, Pipariya, Gadarwara, Narsinghpur, Jabalpur, Sihora Road, Katni, Maihar, Satna, Manikpur, Prayagraj Chheoki, Mirzapur, Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Junction, Buxar, and Ara stations.

Sogaria–Danapur Special Train

To facilitate travel for passengers heading to Bihar from Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh, the Sogaria–Danapur Express (train number 09823/09824) is being operated. Train number 09823, the Sogaria-Danapur Express, began operations on October 10. It will run every Saturday until November 14, 2026, departing at 23:10 and arriving in Danapur at 23:45 the following day. In the return direction, train number 09824, the Danapur-Sogaria Express, will operate every Monday from October 12 to November 16, 2026; it will depart from Danapur at 01:15 and reach Sogaria at 03:45 the following day. This train will make stops at Baran, Salpura, Chhabra Gugor, Ruthiyai, Guna, Ashok Nagar, Sagar, Damoh, Katni, Maihar, Satna, Manikpur, Prayagraj Chheoki, Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Junction, Buxar, and Ara.
Jabalpur–Hazrat Nizamuddin Special Train

For those traveling towards Delhi, train number 01707/01708, the Jabalpur–Hazrat Nizamuddin Express, will be in service. Train number 01707 (Jabalpur–Hazrat Nizamuddin Express) will run every Saturday from October 17 to November 14, 2026, departing at 20:20 and arriving at Hazrat Nizamuddin at 14:25 the next day. In the return direction, train number 01708 (Hazrat Nizamuddin–Jabalpur Express) will depart every Sunday from October 18 to November 15, 2026, at 15:45, reaching Jabalpur at 09:30 the following day.

Jabalpur–Haridwar Special
Train number 01703, the Jabalpur–Haridwar Express, will operate every Thursday from October 22 to November 19, 2026. This train will depart from Jabalpur at 15:30 and arrive in Haridwar at 14:20 the following day. Train number 01704 Haridwar-Jabalpur Express will operate every Friday from October 23 to November 20, 2026. It will depart from Haridwar station at 15:10 and arrive at its destination at 16:20 the next day.

Rewa–Rani Kamlapati Special Train
Train number 02192 Rewa–Rani Kamlapati Express will run between Rewa and Rani Kamlapati stations on October 17 and 24, and November 7 and 14, 2026. This train will depart from Rewa at 12:30 and arrive at Rani Kamlapati at 21:15 the following day. Train number 02191 Rani Kamlapati–Rewa Express will depart from Rani Kamlapati station at 22:15 on October 17 and 24, and November 7 and 14, 2026, arriving in Rewa at 07:20 the next morning.

Katni–Satna Special Train
The Katni–Satna Express will operate daily from October 10 to 22. It will depart from Katni at 05:45 and arrive in Satna at 08:45. Train number 09016 Satna–Katni Express will also run daily from October 10 to 22, departing from Satna at 18:30 and arriving in Katni at 20:50.

Rewa–Dr. Ambedkar Nagar Special Train
Train number 01704/01703 Rewa–Dr. Ambedkar Nagar Express will operate every Saturday and Sunday, covering the period of October 25 and 26, 2026. The Rewa–Dr. Ambedkar Nagar Special train will arrive at Ambedkar Nagar via Satna, Maihar, Katni, Jabalpur, Narsinghpur, Gadarwara, Pipariya, Itarsi, Narmadapuram, Rani Kamalapati, Bhopal, Sant Hirdaram Nagar, Sehore, Shujalpur, Maksi, Dewas, and Indore.
