Vijay Varma: 'Vijay Varma reminds me of Shah Rukh Khan from the 90s', Manish Malhotra heaps praise on the actor..

Manish Malhotra is considered one of Bollywood's biggest celebrity designers. Now, he's become a producer, and his first film, "Gustakh Ishq," is about to be released. Currently promoting his debut film, "Gustakh Ishq," Manish Malhotra has heaped praise on his film's lead actor, Vijay Varma. He compared him to Shah Rukh Khan of the 90s.

Vijay Varma is different from the rest.
In a conversation with Varinder Chawla, Manish Malhotra spoke openly about casting Vijay Varma in the lead role. He said that currently, the industry sees more young men and women on screen than men and women. Vijay brings depth and perfection to his on-screen performances, making him different from others. Vijay possesses that quality. That's why we thought of him, because Vijay has the qualities of a young man. It's his look, his physique, and he's just the way he is. Vijay has a contemporary and a nostalgic feel to him. This is what sets him apart. That's why we chose Vijay.

Shah Rukh Khan's reflection is visible in Vijay.
Manish Malhotra further added that Vijay brings this same element to his personality. "That's why I think the character of Pappan, the boy Vijay plays in this film, is a young man, you know. So, it's also bringing back the male lead or hero role that Shah Rukh played in the 90s. Because normally, you only see boys on screen—always a boy and a girl, never a young man and a young woman."

The film will release on November 28th.
Directed by Vibhu Puri, "Gustakh Ishq" is being produced under Manish's banner, Stage 5 Productions. Fatima Sana Shaikh will be seen in the lead role alongside Vijay Varma in the film. The film also stars Sharib Hashmi and Naseeruddin Shah in pivotal roles. The film is releasing in theaters on November 28th.
