'We want to eradicate evil': 'The Kerala Story 2' makers clarify removal of teaser amid controversy, reveal court's decision..

"The Kerala Story 2" is currently generating a lot of buzz on social media, but just before the film's release, a new rumor regarding its teaser has gained momentum. Reports were circulating that the film's teaser was being removed from social media platforms, which the film's makers, Sunshine Pictures, have categorically denied. The makers issued an official statement, calling these reports "false and baseless." They stated that the case is currently pending in court, and no court has ordered the content removal. They clarified that the teaser and trailer remain available on all their handles, and no content has been deleted.

Filmmaker Vipul Amrutlal Shah addressed the protests and rumors, stating that his intention was not to defame the state of Kerala. He stated that Kerala is God's land and he only wants to see the evils prevalent there end. At the time of the previous film's release, there was controversy surrounding the figure of 32,000 girls. Vipul Amrutlal Shah responded by saying that he had uploaded a video with names and evidence on YouTube, which is still available. He believes the government likely has more information than he does, but through the film, he is simply trying to expose a harsh reality of society.

"The Kerala Story 2" will be released on February 27th.
Regarding the protests, a public interest litigation has been filed against the film, claiming that it could damage harmony with other communities. Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has also criticized the film, further fueling the controversy. Despite all this, the makers have appealed to the media and the public not to spread any unverified information, as this only creates confusion. Currently, despite all the controversies and legal hurdles, "The Kerala Story 2" is all set to hit theaters on its scheduled date, February 27th, 2026.
