White sauce pasta is a favorite among everyone, from children to adults. It's made with a special sauce and seasonings that give it its distinctive flavor.
We often feel like we can't achieve the creamy, velvety taste of a restaurant-style pasta at home, but with a few simple tricks, you can create a delicious dish in your own kitchen. Let's learn an easy recipe for making the perfect creamy white sauce pasta at home.

Ingredients
For boiling pasta:
Pasta - 2 cups
Water - 4-5 cups
Salt - 1 teaspoon
Oil - 1 teaspoon
For the sauce and vegetables:
Butter - 2 tablespoons
Flour - 2 tablespoons
Milk - 2 cups
Garlic - 1 tablespoon (finely chopped)
Vegetables - Chopped bell peppers, sweet corn, carrots, and broccoli
Black pepper powder - 1/2 teaspoon
Chili flakes and oregano - 1 teaspoon each
Salt - to taste
Cheese - 2 slices or grated
Method
First, bring water to a boil in a large pot. When the water starts boiling, add salt, oil, and pasta, and cook until it is 80-90% cooked. Once cooked, drain the water and pour some cold water over the pasta to prevent it from sticking.
Heat a little butter or oil in a pan. Add finely chopped garlic and let it brown slightly. Now add the vegetables of your choice and sauté over medium heat for 2-3 minutes. The vegetables should retain a crunch. Transfer them to a plate.
This step is crucial. Now, add 2 tablespoons of butter to a pan. Once the butter melts, add 2 tablespoons of flour and sauté over low heat, stirring constantly. Make sure the flour doesn't turn brown; it should just lose its rawness.
Now, slowly add the milk and stir with a whisk or spoon to prevent lumps. Cook until the sauce thickens and coats the back of a spoon, adding the sautéed vegetables, pepper powder, chili flakes, oregano, and salt. If you'd like to make the pasta extra creamy, add the cheese at this point and mix well.

Now, add the boiled pasta and toss gently, ensuring each pasta is thoroughly coated in the sauce. If the sauce seems too thick, adjust the consistency by adding a little of the remaining pasta boiling water.
