During the fast, people eat only fruits like Kutu Ka Aata or things made from Sago. Many types of dishes are made from these.

Makhana Kheer is also eaten in sweets. Apart from this, if you like sweets very much, then you can make barfi at home using some things. Today we are going to tell you an easy way to make coconut and gourd barfi. You can make it easily at home.

Coconut Barfi

Coconut Barfi is a very tasty sweet. To make it, first of all, heat 1 spoon of ghee in a non-stick pan. Put grated coconut in the pan and fry it well, but keep in mind that the coconut does not burn. Just fry it till it becomes slightly golden. After this, make syrup by adding 1/4 cup water and sugar in a separate pan. Heat it on low flame till the soaked sugar dissolves completely and the mixture thickens. Now add the syrup to the roasted coconut and mix well.

Let this mixture cook for 2-3 minutes so that it thickens and starts sticking together. If you want, you can add chopped dry fruits like almonds and cashews to it. Now apply ghee in a tray and set it. Put the mixture in the tray press it well and spread it evenly. Let it cool for a while and then cut it in the desired shape. Your coconut barfi is ready.

Lauki ki Barfi

Lauki barfi is also very tasty. To make it, first, wash and peel the gourd and grate it. After this, heat ghee in a pan, then add grated gourd to it and fry it well. Fry till the water of the gourd dries up and the color becomes light golden. Now add sugar to it mix well and let it cook. After adding sugar, water may come out of the gourd, in such a case, let it cook a little more so that the water dries up completely.

After this, add khoya (mawa) and mix well. Add mawa and cook for 5 to 6 minutes so that it mixes completely with the gourd. Pour the barfi mixture into a ghee-coated thali or plate and set it. You can add cashews, almonds and grated coconut on top. After the barfi cools down, cut it into small pieces. Now the gourd barfi is ready.
