A special treat for those who love spicy and flavorful food: a recipe for fried momos with a delicious paneer stuffing..

If you enjoy both momos and paneer (cottage cheese), then fried paneer momos make for an excellent snack. With a crispy exterior and a soft, paneer-filled interior, these momos are a hit with everyone—from children to adults. Let’s look at an easy recipe for them. Making momos at home is also a healthier option.

Ingredients

For the dough:
2 cups all-purpose flour (maida)
1/2 teaspoon salt
Water, as needed
For the stuffing:
200 grams paneer (grated)
1 onion, finely chopped
1 bell pepper (capsicum), finely chopped
2 green chilies, finely chopped
1 tablespoon fresh coriander leaves, chopped
1 teaspoon soy sauce
1/2 teaspoon black pepper powder
Salt to taste
For frying:
Oil

Preparation Method
First, combine the all-purpose flour and salt in a mixing bowl. Gradually add water and knead into a firm dough. Cover the dough and let it rest for 20 minutes so it sets properly.
Next, prepare the stuffing. In a large bowl, combine the grated paneer, onion, bell pepper, green chilies, and fresh coriander. Add the soy sauce, black pepper, and salt, and mix everything well. Your delicious stuffing is ready.
Divide the kneaded dough into small portions (balls) and roll them out into thin circles. Place a spoonful of the paneer stuffing in the center of each circle. Fold the edges to shape the momos and seal them tightly to ensure the stuffing does not spill out.
Heat water in a steamer and steam the momos for 8 to 10 minutes. Once the momos appear slightly translucent, they are ready. Remove them from the steamer and let them cool slightly.
Finally, heat oil in a pan (kadhai). The oil should be moderately hot. Place the steamed momos into hot oil and fry until they are golden brown and crispy. Once fried well on both sides, remove them and place them on a paper towel.

Serving Suggestion
Serve the piping hot fried paneer momos with red chili chutney, mayonnaise, or Schezwan sauce. You can also sprinkle some chaat masala over them if desired. These make for an excellent option for evening tea, party snacks, or children's lunchboxes. Homemade fried paneer momos are not only fresher and more hygienic but also offer the same great taste as those found in the market.
