Besan Kadhi Recipe: Make this delicious kadhi using just 2 tablespoons of besan, know the recipe here...

Many people living in hostels away from home often crave a delicious meal that doesn't require too much effort. In such cases, you can make a simple *kadhi*—it’s incredibly tasty and, best of all, very easy to prepare. You don’t even need any additional side dishes; *kadhi* and rice are more than enough. Let’s look at a simple recipe for it.

Usha, a homemaker from Ranchi, explains that you start by taking some *besan* (gram flour). In a bowl, add the amount of water you need for the *kadhi*—using slightly warm water is ideal. Then, add exactly two tablespoons of *besan*—no more—and mix it thoroughly.

Ready in just two steps!

Next, add one tablespoon of a spice paste. This paste should be a blend of ginger, garlic, black peppercorns, red chilies, cumin seeds, a little turmeric, coriander powder, and a mix of other spices. Grind all these ingredients together in a mixer, then add two tablespoons of this paste to the water-and-*besan* mixture. Add salt to taste as well.

Place a pan on the stove, add two tablespoons of mustard oil, and temper it with fenugreek seeds (*methi*), a bay leaf, and whole spices. Once these begin to crackle, pour in the *besan* mixture you prepared. Cover the pan and let it cook for at least 15 minutes. After 15–20 minutes, you will see that it has thickened into a rich, gravy-like consistency.

Remove from heat and add yogurt.
Once the *kadhi* is fully cooked (after about 15–20 minutes), remove it from the heat. Stir in two tablespoons of yogurt—make sure to whisk the yogurt well before adding it. And there you have it—your delicious *kadhi* is ready! Serve it with rice; it’s not only tasty but also a healthy meal.
