Once on stage, the MLA scolded the singer and even alleged that he was under the influence of alcohol.

Videos of the incident went viral on social media, sparking a mixed reaction—while some began mocking Daler Mehndi, others came out in his support. Following this entire episode, Kapil Sharma has now also extended his support to the singer.

What did Kapil say?
After the incident, Mika Singh shared a video in support of Daler Mehndi, clarifying that the singer was not intoxicated. Kapil shared this video on his own Instagram account and penned an emotional note for Daler Mehndi.

Kapil Sharma mentioned that Daler *paaji* (elder brother) recently underwent a major surgery—a fact that many people are unaware of. He urged everyone to be a little kinder toward others, as we never know what someone might be going through.

Kapil also praised Daler Mehndi’s younger brother, Mika Singh, for standing by him and providing clarity on the situation. Kapil added, "Mika *paaji*, thank you for providing this clarification. May God bless Daler *paaji*. We love you, Daler *paaji*."

Mika Singh defends his brother
Prior to this, Mika Singh had shared a video on Instagram to address the matter. He stated, "I saw the news. It has been circulated that Daler Mehndi was singing while intoxicated and was unable to perform. First and foremost, I want to ask you all—he has been a superstar for the last 30 years. Have you ever seen a glass of alcohol in his hand?" 'Did you see alcohol flowing freely at his birthday party? No, you didn't. Since you didn't see it, how can you claim that he couldn't even stand up?'

Mika Singh revealed that Daler Mehndi recently underwent a major surgery. He stated, 'He recently had a very significant operation. A certain minister—who was present—came onto the stage and snapped, "You can't sing properly, so don't sing; you're just here for the money..." Fair enough, perhaps he was right about the singing. But don't go around saying he was singing while under the influence of alcohol. I challenge anyone: if even one person can come forward and say, "I have seen Daler drinking alcohol," I will quit singing altogether.'
