Ingredients

Fresh coconut chopped – 1 cup

Gram dal – 1 teaspoon

Grated ginger – 1 teaspoon

Curd – 1 tablespoon

Cumin seeds – 1/2 teaspoon

Mustard seeds – 1/4 teaspoon

Curry leaves – 7-8

Chopped green chilies – 2

Dried red chili – 1

Lemon juice – 1 teaspoon

Oil – 1 teaspoon

Salt – as per taste

Recipe

- First of all, cut fresh coconut pieces and put them in the mixer and grind them coarsely. After this, take it out in a bowl.

- After this, fry the gram dal and put it in the mixer jar. Add ginger and chopped green chili along with it, and grind all the ingredients finely.

- Then add coarsely ground coconut to the ground mixture and once again put the lid of the mixer and grind everything finely.

- If needed, a little water can also be used during grinding. After this, take out the mixture in a bowl.

- Now start the process of tempering the chutney. For this, put oil in a small pan and heat it on a low flame.

- When the oil is hot, add mustard seeds to it. When the mustard seeds start crackling, add cumin seeds and dry red chilies to the oil.

- After frying for a few seconds, add curry leaves to it. After 10-15 seconds, remove the pan from the gas and immediately pour the tempering over the coconut chutney and mix it.
