Dussehra falls on the tenth day of Sharadiya Navratri. Lord Rama killed Ravana on this day. Therefore, this day is also considered a symbol of the victory of good over evil. This year, Dussehra will be celebrated on October 2nd. Some people also worship Ravana on this day. It is said that Ravana was a great scholar and wise man. This is why some people worship Ravana, but there are other things associated with it as well. Astrologer Pt. Deep Lal Jaipuri explained that Ravana was a great scholar and learned man. He knew all four Vedas, six Shastras, and eighteen Puranas. However, he became filled with arrogance. Lord Rama achieved victory by eliminating this arrogance.

What People Do
According to Pt. Deep Lal Jaipuri, worshipping effigies of Ravana on Dussehra, brings happiness and prosperity. People also worship him on Dussehra to appease their enemies. In this puja, people make Ravana using flour or cow dung and offer him sugarcane, germinated barley, sweets, curd, radishes, and carrots, praying for prosperity for the next six years.
Why is burning Ravana in the street dangerous?
Aparajita puja is performed during Ravana's worship. This puja should be performed between 8:00 am and 12:35 pm tomorrow. Bringing Ravana's wood home also brings immense benefits. Wrap this wood in a red cloth with yellow rice and keep it in a place where you keep money. This will bring immense benefits. Those who burn Ravana in the streets should not do so at all. This poses a risk of negative influences, i.e., evil forces.
