The Indian Test team led by Shubman Gill reached England on Saturday. India is to play a five-match Test series against England from June 20. Experienced batsmen like Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli will not be there in this series as both of them have said goodbye to the red ball format. Rohit was seen having fun on the field and Pant will miss his behavior.

Pant will miss Rohit.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has shared a video in which captain Gill, vice-captain Pant, Sai Sudarshan, Jasprit Bumrah, Ravindra Jadeja, and Mohammad Siraj along with other players are seen at the airport. Last year, a video of Rohit from the domestic Test series went viral in which he was heard telling the players, 'No one will roam in the garden.' If Rohit is not with him on the England tour, then Pant will miss Rohit. Regarding this, Pant said, I will miss the garden.
This series between India and England will be played from June to August 2025. The matches will be played at Leeds, Birmingham, Lord's and The Oval in London and Manchester. This will be India's first bilateral series in this format after Rohit and Kohli's Test retirement. The Indian Test team is going through a phase of change in which apart from Rohit and Kohli, Ravichandran Ashwin is also not a part of the Test team.
India will go on to win the Test series in England.
India has not won any Test series in England since 2007. Given the preparations for this series, some Indian players had already reached England where they are playing unofficial Test matches for India A against England Lions. The second unofficial Test match between India A and England Lions is being played in Northampton. England had to lose the Test series 1-4 against India last year. The England team does not have fast bowler James Anderson who has retired. At the same time, players like Johnny Bairstow, Ben Fox, and Ollie Robinson have not got a place.
