During the winter season, we often crave something warm to drink. In such times, soup proves to be the best option. Homemade vegetable soups are not only delicious but also beneficial for health. Therefore, you should definitely include some vegetable soup in your diet during the winter months.

Although people usually prefer making tomato soup, spinach and broccoli soup is equally delicious. Moreover, spinach and broccoli also help in improving overall health. Let's learn how to make spinach and broccoli soup.
Ingredients
Spinach (cleaned and chopped) - 2 cups
Broccoli - 1 cup
Onion (finely chopped) - 1 medium-sized
Garlic (finely chopped) - 2-3 cloves
Oil or butter - 1 teaspoon
Water or vegetable stock - 3-4 cups
Salt - to taste
Black pepper powder - ½ teaspoon
Cream (for garnish) - 1-2 teaspoons
Lemon juice - ½ teaspoon
Method
First, heat oil or butter in a pan. Then add the finely chopped garlic and onion and sauté until lightly golden brown.
Now add the chopped spinach and broccoli florets to the pan and stir for 1-2 minutes.
After that, add water or vegetable stock and salt and mix well. Cover and cook on medium heat for 7 to 10 minutes or until the broccoli is tender.
Once the broccoli is well-cooked, turn off the heat and let the mixture cool down. After cooling, transfer it to a blender and blend into a smooth paste.
Pour the blended soup back into the pan and add black pepper powder, mixing well. If the soup seems too thick, you can add a little more water or stock.

Heat the soup on low heat for 2-3 minutes. Then turn off the gas, pour it into a bowl, and serve it garnished with cream and lemon juice.
