Mokshada Ekadashi 2025: Do remedies related to ancestors on the day of Mokshada Ekadashi, you will attain salvation..

The Ekadashi of the Shukla Paksha (waxing moon) of the month of Margashirsha is called Mokshada Ekadashi. According to the Vedic calendar, Mokshada Ekadashi will be celebrated on December 1st. Worship of Lord Vishnu and Lord Krishna is prescribed on this day. Furthermore, certain measures have been suggested on this day (Mokshada Ekadashi 2025) to attain peace and salvation for the souls of ancestors. By practicing these measures, the ancestors attain Vaikuntha Dham. Let's explore these measures.

Perform these measures on Mokshada Ekadashi.

Tulsi Puja
On Ekadashi, be sure to offer Tulsi leaves to Lord Vishnu. After the puja, immerse some of the offered Tulsi leaves in water in the name of your ancestors or place them at the root of a Peepal tree. Goddess Tulsi is also considered the giver of salvation. Following this measure, the ancestors are pleased and blessed with happiness and peace.

Deep Daan
In the evening, light a lamp filled with pure ghee in the name of your ancestors in the south direction of your home or under a Peepal tree. The south direction is considered the direction of the ancestors. It is said that lighting a lamp here pleases the ancestors and maintains their blessings.

Peepal Tree Worship
On the day of Mokshada Ekadashi, offer water to the Peepal tree. While offering water, meditate on your ancestors and chant the mantra "Om Namo Bhagwate Vasudevaya."
Doing so pacifies the sins of your ancestors and grants them salvation.

Brahmin Feast and Donation
Before breaking the Ekadashi fast, invite a poor person or a Brahmin to your home and feed them a satvik meal with devotion. After the meal, donate clothes, food, or dakshina. It is even better if the donated items are yellow in color. Doing so helps the ancestors attain salvation.

Reciting the Gita
This Ekadashi is also celebrated as 'Gita Jayanti', so recite the Bhagavad Gita or any chapter of it on this day.
It is said that reciting the Gita on this day brings auspicious results and peace to the souls of ancestors.
