January 26th is a day of pride for everyone. On this day, our country became a republic. A grand ceremony is held on Kartavya Path (formerly Rajpath), the President hoists the flag, a parade takes place, and everyone is immersed in the spirit of patriotism.

On this occasion, you can also try making some tricolor dishes at home. If you also want to make some special tricolor dishes for children or friends on Republic Day, you can get some great ideas here.
Tricolor Sandwich
This is a favorite snack for both children and adults and is the easiest to make. You will need three slices of bread. Spread green chutney (mint and coriander) on the first slice. Spread mayonnaise or white butter on the second slice. Spread carrot paste or tomato ketchup on the third slice. It's quick to prepare without using any heat and is also healthy.
Tricolor Idli
Tricolor idlis are a great and healthy option for breakfast. Divide the idli batter into three parts. Mix ground spinach (green color) into one part. Leave the second part plain (white). Mix grated carrots or a little saffron food coloring into the third part. Now cook them in an idli stand according to the molds. This steamed dish is easy to digest and looks very attractive.
Tricolor Pasta or Macaroni
If you want to make something modern, try tricolor pasta. First, boil the pasta. Use pesto sauce or spinach puree for the green color. Use white sauce for the white color. Use Arrabiata sauce (tomato and red chili) for the saffron color. The different sauces make this dish very special.
Tricolor Pulao
Tricolor pulao can enhance the beauty of your table during lunch. Cook the rice in three separate pots. Add orange juice or saffron to one portion. Keep the second portion plain white. Mix finely chopped beans, peas, and mint paste into the third portion. Arrange them in layers when serving. The aroma of basmati rice and the combination of colors make this a special dish.

Tricolor Halwa or Barfi
No Indian festival is complete without sweets. You can make coconut barfi. Cook grated coconut with condensed milk and divide it into three portions, using food coloring for each. Layer them one on top of the other and cut them into barfi shapes. This sweet treat makes the celebration memorable.
