BCCI Contract 2025: Ishan and Shreyas return in central contract, Pant benefits; Rohit-Virat remain in Grade A+..

BCCI has announced the list of annual contracts of players for the year 2024-2025. There are a total of 34 players on this list. Four players have been placed in A+ grade. At the same time, six players have been placed in A grade. Five players are in B grade and 19 players are in C grade. Nitish Reddy, Harshit Rana, Abhishek Sharma, and Varun Chakraborty have got a place in the BCCI central contract for the first time. All of them have been placed in Grade C. At the same time, wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant has benefited. He has been promoted from Grade B to Grade A. The biggest news of this central contract is the return of Ishan Kishan and Shreyas Iyer to this list. Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Jasprit Bumrah, and Ravindra Jadeja have been retained in the A+ category of BCCI's central contract. Ishan-Shreyas was dropped last year.
Ishan and Shreyas had to be dropped from the list of central contracts for 2023-24 after a rift with the BCCI. Despite the BCCI's instructions, Ishan and Shreyas did not participate in the domestic tournament. However, now both of them have returned. Ishan has been placed in Grade C and Shreyas in Grade B. Rohit, Virat, and Jadeja have retired from T20 Internationals, but they have been retained in Grade A+. That is, all three will be in the BCCI's plan for some time ahead. This contract is from October 1, 2024, to September 30, 2025. Ashwin has been dropped from this list after retiring from international cricket.
