Rainfall was witnessed in several areas of Delhi-NCR on Wednesday morning, bringing residents relief from the humid heat. The weather turned pleasant across parts of the NCR, including Noida and Ghaziabad. Earlier, heavy monsoon showers in the capital on Tuesday had transformed the weather, causing darkness to descend even during the day. However, waterlogging and long traffic jams in several areas added to the public's woes. The Meteorological Department has issued a 'yellow alert' for rain in Delhi for Wednesday as well.

The Meteorological Department forecast light rain until 10:00 AM today in areas including Burari, Model Town, Karawal Nagar, Azadpur, Delhi University, Civil Lines, Dilshad Garden, Seemapuri, Kashmere Gate, Seelampur, Shahdara, Vivek Vihar, Red Fort, and Preet Vihar in Delhi, as well as Loni Dehat, Hindon Air Force Station, Ghaziabad, Indirapuram, Noida, Greater Noida, Faridabad, and Ballabhgarh in the NCR.
According to the IMD, 9.4 mm of rainfall was recorded at Safdarjung by 5:30 PM on Tuesday. Aya Nagar received the highest rainfall at 49.3 mm between 2:30 PM and 5:30 PM. Rainfall of 20.5 mm was recorded in Chhatarpur, 20 mm at the KVK CRPF campus, and 8.1 mm at Palam. Janakpuri recorded 5.5 mm, Lodhi Road 1.1 mm, and Mayur Vihar, Naraina, and Najafgarh recorded 0.5 mm of rain.
A drop in temperature was also recorded due to the rain. The maximum temperature at Safdarjung stood at 33.5°C and the minimum at 27.4°C. Meanwhile, Aya Nagar recorded a maximum temperature of 30.6°C and a minimum of 25.6°C, both below normal levels.
**Pleasant weather expected for the next six days**

Rain is expected in most areas on August 5 and 6, while isolated light showers may occur between August 7 and 10.
