World Environment Day 2025: World Environment Day is being celebrated on 5 June 2025. The entire environment around which we live is the environment. The environment provides us with the necessary elements to live life. But we are exploiting those components in the wrong way, due to which the environment is getting polluted. People turn to hill stations in search of clean air and nature. People go to these hill stations to get relief from the summer, but the increasing crowd and careless behavior here work to pollute these quiet, clean places.

For environmental protection, every traveler must keep these hill stations safe and clean by visiting them near nature. If you are planning to go to a hill station this summer, then definitely contribute to maintaining the freshness there. Your small efforts can keep the freshness of a hill station for years.
Why is it important to maintain the cleanliness of hill stations?
Hill stations are part of the natural ecosystem, where many rare flora and fauna are found. Cleanliness and proper care of these places are necessary for their conservation.
People go to the mountains for clean air and greenery. The clean air and greenery here are beneficial for mental and physical health. Its existence should remain in the mountains.
These places are getting ruined rapidly due to the ever-increasing tourism pressure and plastic pollution. Plastic and dirt in lakes and forests not only ruin the beauty of these places but also harm the purity.
Do these easy things to save the environment
Stay away from plastic.
Plastic causes a lot of damage to the environment and can affect the environment for years. Avoid single-use plastic like water bottles, food packets, or chip wrappers. Carry a steel or glass bottle on the trip.
Throw garbage only in the dustbin.
Often travelers carry food items with them during the journey. They roam around and throw garbage there. This spoils the beauty of hill stations and harms the environment. Wherever you go, keep cleanliness behind you. After trekking or picnicking, take the garbage back with you.
Use local means
Traveling in your vehicle may be convenient but it is a cause of air pollution. A large number of people are emitting carbon every day which pollutes the environment. Therefore, use local buses, taxis, or shared rides to reduce carbon emissions.
Promote local products
Buy handicrafts, organic products, and local food from the place you are visiting. This strengthens the local economy. A better economy helps in making the necessary expenditures for environmental protection.
Cleanliness of forests and rivers
In the last few years, the trend of camping, trekking, and jungle safari has increased. Now people do not just go to visit tourist places but also live there according to the environment. People turn to forests for camping and trekking. They enjoy boating in rivers and lakes. However, during this time they also increase the dirt by spreading garbage in water sources and forests. Avoid doing this.

Do not harm trees and plants.
The most important thing is to increase trees and greenery, not harm them. However, tourists do things like plucking flowers or writing names on trees for the sake of taking selfies, which is an injustice to nature.
